Leading Application Development Company and Established National Retailer Join Forces to Provide a Full Service Licensing Solution to Fish, Wildlife and Parks Agencies

Helena, MT - August 18, 2003

www.basspro.comWestern Computer Services (WESCO), a premier application development company for State Fish, Wildlife and Parks agencies, today announced a strategic partnership agreement with Bass Pro Shops, the world's leading supplier of premium hunting, fishing and outdoor gear.

This agreement combines the strengths of Bass Pro Shops and WESCO by providing states with a fully integrated solution that automates the issuing and tracking of fishing and hunting licenses, and park and boating permits via telephone, Internet and at point-of-sale locations. Together, Bass Pro Shops and WESCO are able to meet the increasing demand for a single source licensing and permitting system by state fish, wildlife and parks agencies nationwide.

Bass Pro Shops has a long history of providing states with the capability of transacting licenses and permits through the telephone and Internet. Bass Pro Shops is proud to claim 12 states as long-standing customers for the services of their 31,000+ square foot call center in Springfield Missouri.

WESCO spent over two years engineering the platform and developing the software to support the State of Montana in automating their licensing and drawing applications from point-of-sale retailers to Internet customers.

"States have begun the migration to a full-featured, flexible, and totally integrated licensing system to manage inbound orders over the Internet, through call centers, at point-of-sale locations, via mail, and through self-service kiosks," commented Mark Helwege, WESCO'S Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "Combining our product development strengths with Bass Pro Shops proven call center and fulfillment capabilities allows us to better meet these ever increasing demands."

"The partnership with WESCO is part of Bass Pro Shops long-standing commitment to provide our clients with the services and support they require," said Carol Kragskow, Bass Pro Shops Manager of Licensing. "WESCO'S expertise in writing licensing applications synchronizes with Bass Pro Shops strength in managing call centers, providing help desk support and fulfillment services. By combining our resources we increase our capacity to deliver total solutions to our customers."
